While Apple drops new versions of its products annually, we have to wait a little longer for improvements to some of our favorite bags. That's why we're super pumped to share that Aer has updated its travel collection after four years.

It includes two slings and two travel backpacks in sizes and materials to suit every traveler. You can get them in Black, Navy, or Olive 1680D CORDURA® Ballistic Nylon, or Black X-Pac or Ultra400X to keep it as light as possible, depending on your preferences.

The Travel Pack 4 comes in 28L and 35L sizes, both with a main compartment that lies flat for easy packing. That's a feature we always love on Aer Travel Packs, and the packs also have carry handles on all sides that make it easy to pull them out of the trunk or overhead bin. An internal framesheet provides structure and support, and the comfortable harness system includes load lifters to help support the weight. You can add on a hip belt, if you want, though it's sold separately. We don't miss it on the smaller bag, but the 35L one definitely benefits from the extra support when it's fully packed.

Along with upgrades to the materials, the bags feature different organization from previous iterations, from different materials on the pockets themselves to the way they're laid out, and we like it. Plus, they've gone back to buckles instead of FIDLOCK fasteners, which we find sturdier and easier to use.

We're digging the improvements to the Day Sling 4 and 4 Max, as well. Like with the travel packs, we're really digging the changes to the organization and the improved materials on the inside.

The Day Sling 4 has a 2.5L capacity, yet it still includes a padded pocket for a small tablet or Kindle, along with a secure pocket on the back where you can slip a passport and wallet when you're in the airport. The keychain is removable, and you can also place it in different spots around the sling.

If you want something larger, go for the 6L Max, especially if you carry a larger tablet. You can fit up to an 11-inch tablet inside its padded sleeve, and there are pockets to organize the rest of your travel accessories, whether you're exploring a new place or traveling to your destination.
