The Futurizta Tech Pixy Mini Pro 30W Powerbank has a built-in cable and an LED screen, which we dig. However, we’re curious how those features affect usage, especially while traveling. Will the cable be long enough to actually use, and how durable is the LED screen? Let’s dive in and find out!
The Rundown
The exterior is crafted from plastic, and most of it feels durable. However, the LED touch display that shows the battery percentage remaining feels less durable than the rest of the plastic. Still, it has held up well in testing and shows no signs of cracking. It smudges more easily than the rest of the battery bank, but it’s easy to clean.

There’s a built-in USB-C cable, which is one of the selling points of this battery bank. In theory, you don’t need to bring a USB-C cable on your trip, though we still felt the need to bring one along.
The attached cable creates a loop that you can carry the battery bank by, and the cable feels durable. However, we wouldn’t forcefully grab it by this loop, which could break the battery bank. When in use, the loop gets smaller as you’ve pulled more of the cable through.
At the time of writing, only a USB-C version is available. With Apple’s implementation of the USB-C port, we likely won’t see a Lightning version hit the market. If you’re after that, look into the Clutch Charger instead!

In addition to the built-in male-ended cable, there’s an additional USB-C female port on the back, which is handy. You can plug in any USB-C cable here to charge any device, not just those that charge with USB-C.
Both the built-in cable and port are in/out compatible, so you can charge the device or other devices with either. This enables pass-through charging to power up the battery bank and a device simultaneously.

The device’s maximum output is 30 watts, which will fast-charge your phone and adequately charge some tablets and small computers. Many battery banks max out at 20 watts, which is a handy inclusion.
This battery bank is listed at 10,000 mAh, a common travel size for portable power to ensure you have enough juice on the airplane, while exploring the city, or in the airport. However, all power banks lose power through various means, such as heat transfer, an LED screen, and cables/adapters.

We tested the Futurizta Tech Pixy Mini Pro 30W Powerbank with an electronic USB load tester and a multimeter. We drew a constant of 2 amps, as that’s what most phones use, and let it run until the battery bank was dead. Ultimately, we drew 6,119 mAh from the battery bank, or 61.19% of the rated 10,000 mAh capacity. This isn’t the worst that we’ve tested, but it’s not outstanding performance, though it’s still usable.
Packability
The device’s size is commendable—it feels like a bulkier AirPods case with a loop on one side. It fits into most pockets, though it may be a tighter squeeze for feminine-styled pants with less room. A coat pocket won’t be an issue; it works with smaller slings and a tech pouch, too.

The loop created by the attached cable is handy, as you can carry the device by it and grab it when you’re snagging it from your bag. You can’t attach it to things via the loop unless the place you’re trying to put it has a hook or a clip, as the loop on the cable isn’t openable. A carabiner works well, though we wouldn’t leave it hanging for extended periods, as this will strain the cable. You can attach it to the key leash in a pocket inside your pack to ensure it doesn’t get lost.
It’s not the thinnest or lightest 10,000 mAh battery bank we’ve tested, but it’s quite good.
Quick Comparison
One of our most recommended power banks is the NITECORE Carbo 10000, a slim, lightweight, and highly durable model with a technical look we love. The Futurizta Tech Pixy Mini Pro 30W Powerbank also compares well with the NITECORE NB10000.

Oddly enough, both the Futurizta Tech Pixy Mini Pro 30W Powerbank and the NITECORE NB10000 came in at exactly 6,199 mAh in testing with the USB load tester and multimeter. As we mentioned before, this isn’t the best performance, but each battery bank’s features make it stand out.
Durability and pocketability are key for the NITECORE. It’s easy to slide into your pants pocket, and the rounded edges make it easy to carry around in your hand. The Futurizta has the attached cable and LED display screen and is similarly pocketable, though it doesn’t feel as comfortable in tighter pockets. Both support pass-through charging, so it comes down to form factor and whether the attached cable is worth it to you.

If the cable is a big selling point, the Clutch Charger Pro is worth considering. In addition to USB-C, there is a Lightning cable version for users with older iPhones. It’s incredibly thin, making it a solid choice for users with tight pockets. That said, it doesn’t have an extra port for charging other devices and is only 5,000 mAh, which might not be versatile or powerful enough for some travelers.

Despite its lack of revolutionary features, we loved using the Futurizta Tech Pixy Mini Pro 30W Powerbank. Its 30-watt output, attached charging cable, USB-C port, and size make it a solid contender for your next trip across the city or globe!
