Full Review
The EVERGOODS Transit Packing Cube 4L takes everything we liked about the larger 10-liter version and shrinks it down into a more compact package. It’s simple, thoughtfully designed, and offers a few unique features that set it apart in a category where most packing cubes tend to look and function the same.
External Components
The Transit Packing Cube 4L is crafted from a 210D HT nylon 6,6 high-density plain weave with a PU Knifecoat on the back and a silicone finish on the face. That’s a lot of technical jargon, but in practice, it translates to a durable material that feels more substantial than what we typically see on packing cubes.

Many packing cubes prioritize being as lightweight as possible, sometimes at the expense of durability. EVERGOODS has taken a different approach here. The material feels robust, inspires confidence, and has held up well during testing. Sure, if you compare the specs on paper, this cube weighs more than some ultralight alternatives. However, the actual difference in ounces is pretty minimal, and we’d gladly accept a slight weight penalty in exchange for a more durable packing cube.
The zippers are YKK #8 reverse-coil models with a DWR finish. They’re smooth, easy to use, and feel appropriately beefy for a product that’s likely to be stuffed, compressed, and tossed around during travel. We didn’t run into any issues during testing, and the zipper track feels durable enough to withstand years of use.

On the front, you’ll find EVERGOODS’ signature hook-and-loop logo panel. If you’ve used gear from the brand before, this will feel familiar. You can attach a patch here to personalize the cube or simply leave it alone for a cleaner look. It’s a small detail, but one that has become a staple across much of the EVERGOODS lineup.
There are grab handles on both the left and right sides of the cube. It’s a simple addition, though one we found surprisingly useful. No matter how the cube was oriented inside a travel backpack, duffle, or rolling luggage, there was usually a handle within reach to help pull it out quickly.

Along the spine, there’s a small daisy chain. It serves as a convenient anchor point when opening and closing the zippers, though you can also use it to attach gear externally or secure the cube to another bag. It’s a versatile addition, even if many users will primarily use it as a zipper anchor.
Beyond those features, there isn’t much else happening externally—and that’s perfectly fine. At the end of the day, it’s a packing cube. The design stays clean, functional, and purpose-driven without adding unnecessary complexity.
Inside The Packing Cube
Opening the Transit Packing Cube 4L reveals a fairly straightforward interior layout. There isn’t much organization here, but what is included feels purposeful.

On the lid, there’s a zippered mesh pocket for securing smaller items. In theory, it’s a useful addition, though we admittedly struggled to find a consistent use for it. Because the cube is only four liters, dedicating some of that space to accessories can feel inefficient. That said, it works well for smaller travel essentials, and we found socks and underwear to be among the better uses for the compartment. You won’t fit many, but it’s nice to have the option.
The remaining cube is open space, allowing you to pack clothing, gear, or whatever else makes sense for your setup. However, the most interesting feature here isn’t the storage itself—it’s the containment collar.

Essentially, EVERGOODS has integrated a piece of fabric around the opening that acts like a built-in compression system. When you’re overstuffing the cube, the collar helps keep everything contained as you pack. Once loaded, the integrated cinch system allows you to compress the contents and wrangle everything into a more manageable shape.
It’s a little unusual at first, especially if you’re coming from traditional packing cubes, but we ended up appreciating it. More importantly, when you don’t need it, the collar stays largely out of the way. It doesn’t get tangled in your gear or make packing more complicated, unlike built-in compression systems.

Overall, the Transit Packing Cube 4L is a simple packing cube with a few thoughtful twists. The durable materials, compression collar, and useful grab handles help it stand apart from more basic options, while still maintaining the straightforward functionality we want from a packing cube. If you’re already a fan of EVERGOODS’ larger Transit Packing Cube 10L, this smaller version feels like a natural addition to the lineup.
