This is a great daily backpack for commuters who like ALPAKA’s style but find themselves packing bulkier gear. Unlike ALPAKA’s other bags, the Bravo is slightly wider, and the compartments have their own capacity. That means it doesn’t look lumpy, even when you stuff the pockets with awkwardly shaped items. Gear inside is easy to access, too, with a half-zip design that flips open so you can pack the bag almost clamshell. It’s made with ALPAKA’s Axoflux 400D material, which is a recycled fabric that feels sort of like a thick nylon and gives the bag great durability and structure. While it can feel a little stiff when packed out, the contoured shoulder straps and flexible back panel mold easily to different body shapes. We’ve found the harness system to be a bit lacking when it’s fully expanded, though, so be mindful if you carry a lot of heavy tech or else the bag can get uncomfortable. However, versatility is its strong suit, with a ton of organization that you can customize to your preference. Use the internal pockets for all your small gear and utilize the mesh divider for some gear separation when you want it and roll it back when you don’t. The best part is that all of these pockets and features are out of the way if you don’t want to use them. Its 40-liter capacity can get a little saggy if you don’t stuff it full, though compression straps help keep it in check, and the harness system is substantial enough to keep your shoulders comfortable when it’s loaded with gear. We fit two weeks of clothing inside, or a week if you tend to overpack. There’s a top pocket for your phone, wallet, and keys and a large front pocket for gear you want along the way, like a battery bank, snacks, and a small book. Water bottle pockets on each side of the bag help you stay hydrated after security or give you space for an umbrella. The rear compartment fits up to a 17-inch laptop, a tablet, and tech accessories. It unzips to lie flat and offers quick access to the main compartment, too. That section is easier to pack from the front, opening like a duffle bag to give you access to all the open space inside. The materials are water-resistant and built to handle airport baggage handling without worry, and the oversized wheels handle uneven pavement and cobblestones better than most rolling duffels. However, one of our favorite features is that the bag collapses and rolls into a compact stuff sack for storage when not in use. Storing a 110L bag isn’t exactly convenient, so this is handy. Unfortunately, it’s lacking on the structure side of things. This suitcase starts at 39 liters and expands to 47. At under 7 pounds, it's pretty light for a polycarbonate suitcase, and the 360-degree spinner wheels move smoothly across airport floors. The liner-free polycarbonate interior is easy to clean, too. We have noticed that scuffs seem to appear quicker than other polycarbonate bags, but we don’t think that’s a dealbreaker. Its organization is pretty familiar to other luggage we’ve tested. The strap is pretty basic, but it gets the job done. The webbing material is surprisingly stiff and slick, and we noticed the adjustment sliders can occasionally slip out of place over time. The MagSafe connection holds securely to the back of a compatible phone or case without sliding, and because of its low profile, you won’t even notice it in your hand. This has been my go-to battery bank for the past few months when I’m walking around all day using maps. It only weighs about 4 ounces and is as thin as an Apple Pencil, so you don't have to wrangle a thick brick on the back of your phone when you try to use it while charging. The Qi2 charger gives you about 15W of power, which can get an iPhone Pro Max up to 25% in about a half-hour, while the USB-C port supports 20W charging. While it can get a little hot during use, it doesn’t get warm enough that it’s uncomfortable to hold. When you don’t need it, slide it into your sling until it’s time to power up again.15. If you want a magnetic power bank with double the capacity for roughly the same price, go for the INIU SnapGo Air. In our testing, the 10,000 milliamp-hour capacity provided a full charge for a smartphone with plenty of juice left over. A small display shows battery percentage on demand, and a side button toggles wireless charging on or off, which maxes out at 25W when used alone. Meanwhile, the two USB-C ports support up to 45W output on a single port. However, speed drops when multiple devices are connected, so if you regularly need to fast-charge multiple devices at once, this setup will feel slow. The trade-off here is its size-to-capacity ratio. Its small profile won’t add much bulk to your phone when you need to top up. Plus, the included cable means you don’t need to bring your own.16. This power bank is roughly twice the size of an AirPods Pro case and small enough to fit into your pocket if you don’t mind its bulky shape. Like their other charger, it also delivers up to 45 watts of power. Just remember charging more than one will reduce overall charging speed. The battery isn’t MagSafe, so it’s a bit annoying to hang onto if you’re not keeping it in a tech pouch, which is why the built-in cable is even more convenient on this charger. It’s designed to double as a handle, but it did pop out of a place a few times during testing in the Philippines, so we can’t say we’d trust hanging it on the outside of your bag. I recommend this next one to anyone who asks what 3-in-1 charger they should get. I recently upgraded from the ESR HaloLock because the CryoBoost is significantly more powerful but just as small. That’s even with the built-in fan that reduces heat during charging, since it fast-charges up to 25 watts. Folded flat, it measures roughly the size of a battery bank and fits easily into a tech pouch or sling. The included right-angle USB-C cable keeps the desk setup clean, and it even comes with a 50W wall adapter if you don’t have another you prefer. Compared to the Anker Prime, we think the ESR hits a better balance of price, portability, and charging speed. The sleep tracking metrics are also a cool way to see how jet lag and travel stress impact your resting heart rate and recovery scores. While the most recent version won’t be on sale, we expect the 4 to get a discount. So, if you aren’t itching to get the slimmer profile of the newly released Oura Ring 5, this is a great time to save some bucks on an earlier model.20. These compression packing cubes from BAGSMART are kind of a dark horse. The six- or four-piece set has a combination of three cube sizes and a shoe pouch. The polyester material is soft and flexible, and the SBS zippers have handled us overstuffing the cubes more than once. The teeth sometimes get caught on the expansion material when zipping them up, but that’s an issue we find with a lot of compression cubes. The mesh top panel is a great feature because it lets you see exactly what is packed inside without opening the cube, and the fabric is surprisingly lightweight, so it won’t add unnecessary ounces to your loadout. Plus, the mesh lets you quickly see what’s inside so you don’t unzip the wrong cube. There are three different-size compression cubes available. The small or medium will fit inside a daypack without issue, while the large one feels more at home in a travel backpack. The tomtoc Light-T02 cubes are designed to fit inside the T66 Travel Backpack we mentioned earlier. Instead of a bundle of identical cubes, each piece serves a different purpose: a 10–15L expandable cube, an 8L clean/dirty cube with a color-coded secondary compartment for used clothing, and a 3L small cube for socks and underwear. The only thing we don’t love is that while the largest cube can technically compress the contents, it’s designed more to expand the cube versus making what you packed inside smaller. In general, though, we find the modular approach genuinely useful, and it’s a good mix of cube types. Next up is a classic in the minimalist carry community: The Ridge Wallet. You can stash up to a dozen cards inside, and a cutout between the metal plates allows you to slide out the card you want easily. There’s also a strap to hold cash, and you can add a money clip if desired. The thing to know before making the switch is the learning curve of card access. It comes with a strengthening tray that sticks to your case with 3M adhesive if you don't have a MagSafe phone, though we recommend using it regardless since the wallet easily slips around without it.
